The reason why dutch mesh are calleddutch mesh is that their warp and weft silk diameters are different and their meshes are different. Reasonable matching of silk warp and target number to achieve filter density that square mesh can not achieve. Therefore, dutch mesh are dense nets with fine filtration, but generally the diameter of warp yarn is larger than that of weft yarn. Contrast weaving is called contrast because the weft is much thicker than the warp.
